First regional event held in Singapore

Professional Learning Regional Training Regional Regional Events

Over two days in September, 34 teachers from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, India and China took part in our first regional event, gaining valuable knowledge, understanding and the opportunity to collaborate with new colleagues.

Before the formal IPC and IMYC courses began, participants were introduced to the teaching and learning approaches at Overseas Family School (our host), through a ‘learning walk’ led by OFS staff. This gave participants a unique opportunity to see the IPC in action and helped frame many of the discussions in their courses over the next two days.

I thought that the event was great. It was really interesting to meet other people and my trainer was a great facilitator of learning.

Our regional events were launched in August as part of our new professional learning programme with the aim of providing increased flexibility and opportunities for teachers and school leaders to grow within their field. In addition to online and blended courses, regional events offering multiple courses take place in areas where we have a concentration of member schools, making professional learning more accessible for teachers who may not have the opportunity to travel far for training.

Thank you to all the participants, our trainers and especially Overseas Family School, Singapore for making this first event such a success!
