The IMYC turns five!

Middle Years IMYC

To mark the IMYC’s fifth year of formal implementation, we have recently completed extensive updates for the curriculum:

  • The Assessment for Learning programme now includes rubrics for every year on three levels
  • Science tasks now include Physics and Chemistry
  • Technology tasks now include food technology
  • ICT and Computing now includes coding
  • Our Professional Learning (teacher training) now include online and blended learning opportunities
  • There is now an enhanced online member portal which includes opportunities for schools to connect, learn and share with each other

But the work is not over yet! We know that continuous review and development is vital in keeping the IMYC relevant. Our Head of IMYC, Isabel du Toit, is in the process of reaching out to all of our IMYC member schools to discuss key areas of future development. We’ve committed to keeping our promise that the IMYC is ‘for teachers by teachers’.

If you are an IMYC member school and would like to take part and share your feedback please contact isabel.dutoit@fieldworkeduaction.com
