You should have received a letter from Gregory Biggs, Divisional Director of Fieldwork Education, announcing the launch of the ICA, what this means for your accreditation status, and providing new branding. If you have not received this, please let us know.
We hope that you will display your ICA logo proudly and share the new branding across your school community. Do get in touch if you require any additional guidance on the use of your new logos or branding.
If you are currently in the process of accreditation renewal the Fieldwork Education Improving Learning criteria will be used. For renewal under the ICA, you will be asked to engage in an Accreditation Self-Review based on the ICA three focus areas of quality, the related standards and the defining criteria:
The school provides the necessary environment to enable the International Curriculum to be implemented safely and in accordance with the respective regulatory bodies for the school context
The school has shared understandings, definitions and policies to enable the International Curriculum to be implemented to its fullest extent
The school ensures that its pedagogical philosophy, practices and processes are aligned with those of the International Curriculum
The ICA offers a partnership model to work with you in your continuous drive for the improvement of learning. As your learning partner we offer a range of services, opportunities and preferential rates for ICA Accredited Schools. These include:
Access and license to use ICA logos and branding
Dated certificate for the duration of your accreditation
Free recruitment postings via the International Curriculum Portal
Preferential rates for any ICA Professional Learning
One free place at the International Curriculum Conference
20% discount rate for the International Curriculum Conference
Invitation to apply to the Strategic Advisory Board of Fieldwork Education
Invitation to apply to the International Curriculum Steering Committees (IEYC, IPC, IMYC)
Opportunities to take on International Curriculum trainer and mentor roles
As an existing accredited school you automatically become an ICA Accredited school. We will ask you to renew your accreditation status at the end of your current validation. ICA Accreditation will be valid for 4 years.
