Our International Curriculum

At Fieldwork Education, curriculum is defined as the content and lived process of learning. It unifies 'what is learnt, why it is learnt, the way it is learnt, and the impact on the learner'. Curriculum guides the transformative nature of learning and development, with the ultimate goal of improving learning for all.

For us within the International Curriculum, we identify 4 distinct facets to curriculum which are the following:

  • The written curriculum defines the underpinning theory and reasoning of the curriculum's design and further details the intended learning experiences within the curriculum delivery.
  • The planned curriculum establishes how the written curriculum will be implemented in the school context through the structures & systems that create the conditions for improving learning.
  • The experienced curriculum results from the implementation of practices, processes and pedagogy; the learners’ day to day reality.
  • The evaluated curriculum determines the impact of implementation, through engagement with all stakeholders.
