We were pleased to be working with the International Task Force for Child Protection at Cambridge International in December. This is a growing task force made up of volunteers, set up to strengthen child protection practices around the world.
There were over 60 of us who met over two days, and we had insightful presentations from experts in the child protection field. We then met as committees to see how we could build in child protection through our accreditation, curriculum, leadership and policies.
Free resources for schools
The International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (ICMEC) now has an Education Portal with excellent resources for all schools to use for free. Please take some time to look through them, we are sure that you will find these resources useful, whether you are looking for examples of Safeguarding policies, safe recruitment practices or how to help teachers, leaders and your school community to become more aware of the issues around child protection.
We will be reviewing the Recommendations for Implementation and Improving Learning in line with the agreements that were made in Cambridge to give you further support on how to maintain a safer school.
